CHODAR
An unexpected encounter in the high Himalayas.
At 5,000 metres in Ladakh, India, during my solo expedition to Stok Kangri, I came across an unexpected sight: a man travelling with his horses across a grassy plateau, carrying supplies for mountaineering expeditions. In a landscape where every step demands effort, his quiet, practical journey revealed another side of the mountains — the people and animals whose work makes these adventures possible.
